Private courses are great and all but to play out there often you're either having fun with your wife/husband/life-partner but he/she probably doesn't wish to play as often as you do. If your golf friends are members there, excellent. If not, you're probably playing alone as your thoroughly put together cronies/pigeons most likely don't wish to pay the visitor rate, which for a personal club is usually over $100.
